2900 Lake Ridge Lane in Weston is another project that was given to us by one of our most prestigious clients and developers. Their development firm owned 3 lots in this community and their goal was to develop and build three consecutive projects with different design concepts. The design for lot 2900 is a one floor house where no matter where the inhabitant is standing, they can always gaze into the exterior courtyard (backyard) and see the beautiful pool deck and gazebo.

The home is a combination of two rectangular volumes. One volume (the biggest one) acts as the entry point and the public space. In here, the inhabitant can find living room, family room, kitchen, and office space. Adjacent to this volume, is the private space. The private volume is attached to the public volume by a corridor that lets you see the exterior of the house. The private volume has bedrooms, master bedroom, each with their own bathroom, and finally, the garages.

One of the most beautiful aspects of this house is the façade and its play with angles. When stepping into this floating volume (the public space) you will see that it has an angular shape that draws your gaze into the space and out to the courtyard.
